Day one of the championships are complete

In the women’s pentathlon, Nina Reinhardt of Bucknell won the event, with 3184 points, followed by Danielle Todman, also of Bucknell with 3070 points and Hessler, who registered 3062 points on the day, good for six team points. Hessler continued to excel in the high jump, as she won that single event with a leap of 5’ 3”. Hessler then placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:31.12.
Guenther placed sixth in the pentathlon with 2970 points, which gave the Mountain Hawks one team point. Guenther took second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.24 and backed that up with another second place finish, this time in the high jump, as she cleared 5’1”.
For the Lehigh men, Malek is leading Army’s Brandon Lewis, who currently has 2621 points. Brian Voorhis and Craig Percopo of Lehigh are currently in fifth and sixth place respectively with 2555 and 2503 points. Malek won the high jump with ease, clearing 6’7”, and also came in fourth in the shot put with a toss of 38’11”.
