Mountain Hawks finish up indoor season

Boston, MA - Lehigh concluded its indoor season with a very solid meet this weekend at the ECAC-IC4A Championships on the campus of Boston University. The Mountain Hawk men came in 20th place at the event out of 53 teams as they scored 13 points for the weekend.
Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks was senior George Evans, who came in third place in the 55-meter dash, registering six points, with a time of 6.39. Also posting a third place finish was sophomore Vaclav Malek in the heptathlon with 4983 points, which also gave Lehigh six points on the day.
In the 3000-meter run, freshman sensation Victor Vientos competed, along with sophomore Rob Hampson, and while neither placed in the top-ten, both had solid races for the Mountain Hawks. Vientos turned in a time of 8:26.22, while Hampson crossed the finish line in a time of 8:30.05.
In the men's triple jump, the always steady Francis Vincent leaped to a fourth place finish registering a jump of 14.50 meters, which gave Lehigh one point in the competition.
Lehigh now gets set for the outdoor season, which gets underway on March 26, when the Mountain Hawks host the Lehigh Valley Invitational on the Goodman Campus. That meet is scheduled to begin at 2:00.
