Lehigh finishes up at Patriot League Championships

Lewisburg, PA - Lehigh finished up its weekend at the Patriot League Championships with the women coming in fourth place and the men posting a fifth place finish with 59.75 points. The host Bucknell Bison took the title in the women's competition, while Navy won by a slim margin, edging out Army in the men's field.
Top performers on the men's side for Lehigh were senior George Evans who took home the title in the 60-meter dash with a school and Indoor Championships record time of 6.86. Fellow senior Francis Vincent leaped to a second place finish in the triple jump with a 14.83-meter jump. Freshman Victor Vientos continued his stellar first season for the Mountain Hawks, posting a second place finish in the 3000-meter run, as he crossed the finish line in a time of 8:27.67.
Navy earned 177.75 points, just slipping past its archrival, Army, which posted 175.75 points. Bucknell came in third with 68.75 tallies, while American with 61 points was in fourth. Lehigh followed and then came :Lafayette with 54 points. Colgate and Holy Cross brought up the rear with 20 and three points respectively.
In the women's competition, juniors Khyala Lowe and Lindsay Hinsch came in third and fourth place respectively in the triple jump, as Hinsch notched a jump of 11.24 meters and Lowe leaped 11.08 meters. Nicole Montegary posted a pair of top-five finishes in the 200-meter run and the 400-meter run. Bucknell posted the largest win in Indoor Championships history with a score of 198, while the second place team, Navy, scored only 104 points. Army came in third place with 100 points, followed by Lehigh with 62. American was in fifth place with 56 points, followed by Lafayette (44), Colgate (41) and Holy Cross (15).
