Lehigh set to host Covert Classic

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh hosts the Covert Classic at Rauch Field House on Saturday afternoon. Rider, LaSalle, Sacred Heart, and Towson will be on hand as the Mountain Hawks defend their home turf. The Mountain Hawks have set seven school records at the four meets thus far in the indoor season, including at least one at every competition. Lehigh athletes have been snagging Patriot League Athlete of the Week honor all season as well, with five Mountain Hawks getting that distinction so far this season. On the men’s side, sophomore Francis Vincent has been out jumping the competition all season, winning the long and triple jumps at four all four meets. Junior George Evans has set the school record in the 60m dash two weeks in a row. Lindsay Hinsch, who set a school record in the triple jump against Millersville, has powered the women’s team in the jumps. Senior Yasmin Deliz set a school record of her own in the shot put at the Rutgers Invitational, while fellow co-captain Justina Barone as been turning in strong performances across the board. The first event at the John Covert Classic is set to begin at 10:00.
