Barone, Lambert strong in pentathlon

Bethlehem, PA – Senior Justina Barone won the women’s pentathlon with a score of 3649 and senior Chris Lambert was the victor in the men’s with his 3652 accumulation. Barone’s score qualified for the ECAC Championships, while Lambert tallied enough points to qualify for the IC4A’s. Barone won all five events in the women’s competition. Lambert was propelled by a personal best in the high jump of 6’ 2 ¾". Lambert was the winner in long jump, shot put, and 1000m. Just missing qualification for the IC4A Championships was freshman Vaclav Malek with his score of 3494. Malek won the 60m hurdles and tied for the lead in the high jump, clearing 6’ 5". The Lehigh Quad will resume with individual events Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. Women’s Standings
