Trio of schools coming for Quad

Lehigh hosts American, Rider and Wagner this weekend in the Lehigh Quad at Rauch Field House. The Mountain Hawks will be looking to continue their strong start to the indoor season. The women have been off to a particularly strong start. In the opening meet with Millersville, sophomore Lindsay Hinsch won three events and shattered the Lehigh triple jump mark with her mark of 37’ 6". Senior Justina Barone also won a pair of events. In the Mountain Hawks last competition, another record fell, as senior Yasmin Deliz established a new standard in the shot put. The co-captain set the standard with her toss of 45’ 6 ¾". On the men’s side, sophomore Nick Maiorino has been off to a strong start, winning the 35-lb. weight throw at against Millersville and at Rutgers. Classmate Francis Vincent took the top spot in both the long and triple jumps at the Rutgers Invitational. Maiorino’s and Hinsch’s efforts against Millersville earned them Field Athlete of the Week recognition from both the Patriot League and ECAC. The Lehigh Quad will be the first scored competition for the Mountain Hawks this season.
