Lambert fourth at Penn Relays

Philadelphia, PA – Senior Chris Lambert took fourth in the college decathlon to lead Lehigh’s contingent at the Penn Relays over the weekend. Lambert accumulated 6660 points in the multi-event. Of the ten events, Lambert won the 1,500 meter run with a time of 4:27.12, and the javelin with a throw of 52.98 meters. He also finished second in both the 400, with a time of 49.96, and the discus. His victory in the 400 gave him 816 points, his highest score in any of the ten events. Classmate Pat Dugan placed ninth in the championship flight of the men’s javelin with a mark of 189’ 11". In the Eastern Collegiate men’s competitions, junior Francis Vincent placed fifth in the triple jump, classmate Jesse Ohm took ninth in the pole vault and freshman Vaclav Malek was sixth in the high jump. For the women, senior Yasmin Deliz took fifth in the shot put with a toss of 44’ 9". Junior Katie Dukatz was sixth in the high jump, clearing 5’ 5 ¾". Senior Edann Brady and freshman Lauren Barrett each placed ninth in their events. Brady completed the 3000m steeplechase in 11:02.80, while Barrett threw the javelin 134’ 4" The Mountain Hawks will return to action next weekend when they compete in the Millersville Metrics.
