Knight named to All-Tournament Team

Worcester, MA – Lehigh junior Joe Knight was selected to the 2005 All-Patriot League Tournament Team, it was announced following the league’s championship game on Friday night. Knight scored a Patriot League Tournament record 45 points against Colgate in the Mountain Hawk’s quarterfinal game on March 4. Also in that game, Knight hit a school and tournament record ten shots from three-point range. In Lehigh’s semi-final matchup with top seeded Holy Cross, Knight sank three more shots from beyond the arc, giving him 13 for the tournament, which established a new record as well. Bucknell junior guard Charles Lee was named the tournament’s MVP after leading his school to the Patriot League tournament title and into the NCAA Tournament. Lee scored ten points in the Patriot League Championship game as the Bison defeated Holy Cross 61-57 at the Other members of the all-tournament squad include Holy Cross’s senior John Hurley and junior Kevin Hamilton, as well as Bucknell’s Chris McNaughton. Lehigh wrapped up its season with a record of 14-15 overall and 7-7 in the league.
