Mountain Hawks gear up for Patriot League Tournament

Bethlehem, PA - Lehigh begins defense of its 2003-04 Patriot League Championship, as the Brown and White heads to Worcester for the opening round of the 2005 Patriot League Tournament, where the No. 4 seeded Mountain Hawks will take on the No. 5 seeded Colgate Raiders on Friday evening. These two teams have not met in the Patriot League Tournament since Friday marks the first time this season that Lehigh has played on a neutral court and the first time since last year’s NCAA Tournament game. The Mountain Hawks were 2-1 in 2003-04 on neutral courts.
Joe Knight leads the Patriot League in assists at 4.4 per game and is second in assist-to-turnover ratio at 1.63. The junior has been even better in league play, handing out a league best 5.6 per game. Knight’s 114 helpers thus far this season put him in the top-ten for a single season in Lehigh history. The Patriot League announced its 2004-05 All-League and All-Rookie Teams on Tuesday afternoon, and for the first time since 1998-99, no Mountain Hawk players were selected to the teams.
