Lehigh splits with Bucknell in the pool

The Lehigh men were paced by a trio of swimmers who won three individual events apiece. Senior Grant Flothmeier had a solid showing in his final meet in Jacobs Pool, winning both the 100 and 200 yard breaststroke as well as the 200 yard IM in 1:56.14. Junior Tom Gilbert won both backstroke events, including the 100 back in 51.75 second and also the 100 butterfly in 52.85. Sophomore Jon Kearney also had three wins to his credit, winning the 1000 and 500 yard freestyle and the 200 butterfly.
Also on the men’s side senior Sean Herman won the 100 yard freestyle in 48.18, and freshman Dan Johnson won the 200 free, while placing second in two other events. Sophomore Clark Cohen took top honors on the three meter dive with 295.20 points.
For the Lehigh women sophomore Kelsey Hunter won the 200 free in 1:55.37 as she and junior Betsy Balaguer led a 1-2 Mountain Hawk finish in the event. Hunter also posted a pair of second place finishes in the 100 and 500 freestyle events. Senior captain Laura Gray swept the two women’s diving events, taking the one meter with a score of 203.40 and the three meter with 246.60 points.
