Princeton delivers with two outs to sweep Lehigh

In the first game,
Emily Ling was solid, even though she gave up four runs on five hits in five innings. The only real mistake was the homer by Finley, as all the other hits were either bloopers or balls that reached the outfield just past the reach of the Lehigh infielders. Lauren Haney drove in Lehigh’s only run when she plated Whitney Schenbeck in the bottom of the fourth.

With the score still 1-0 into the bottom of the seventh, the Mountain Hawks came through in the clutch to tie the score. Erin Hengemuhle led off the inning with a double, then scored when second baseman Lindsey Motal failed to field a ground ball by Mendy Martin cleanly. Lehigh would get two on with none out, but pitcher Callin Varner would retire the side from there to send the game to extras.
In the ninth, Kristen Del Calvo hit a ground rule double to left to score Bingham, and Lehigh would fail to score in the bottom of the inning to finally end the game.
