Kissimmee, FL - Lehigh started their spring break trip to Florida with a split of two games on Sunday, defeating Toledo 5-2 in the first before falling 2-0 to Central Michigan in the second.

In the first game, Emily Ling dominated on the mound, pitching a complete game to earn her second victory (2-0) on the season.  Ling struck out 13 Toledo batters in seven innings, and gave up only two runs on five hits.  Mary Wieder led three Mountain Hawks hitters with a pair of hits apiece, driving in a run as well.  Lauren Haney was 2-3 with 2 RBIs, and Liz Gripp chipped in with a pair of hits and drove in a run also.

In the second game, Lehigh had no answer for Central Michigan pitcher Aimee Smith. Smith was brilliant, shutting out the Mountain Hawks and striking out 14 while only allowing two hits to Wieder and Whitney SchenbeckHeather Hamasaki pitched outstanding ball also, but gave up two runs in the first inning that proved to be the difference. Hamasaki (2-1) pitched seven innings, giving up 2 runs on 5 hits while striking out ten.

Lehigh continues their Florida trip on Monday with another pair of games, against George Mason at 8:45 am and against Sacred Heart at 10:45 am.
