Mountain Hawks open up 2004-05 indoor season

Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh opened its 2004-05 indoor season on Friday evening in an unscored meet versus Millersville at Rauch Fieldhouse. Head Coach Matt Utesch had many things to be happy about in this the season opener. Leading the way for the Mountain Hawks was senior captain Nick Maiorino who placed first in the shot put with a throw of 44’10 ½. Fellow senior Khayla Lowe also placed first, in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.4 seconds.
Other Mountain Hawks who turned in solid performances were Kim Rhodes, who took first in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.1 seconds, Liz Haight who ran to a first place finish in the 400-meter dash in a time of 1:04.4, and Mary Beth Medvide who registered a throw of 11.39, putting her atop the leader board in the shot put.

Lehigh returns to action on January 8, when the Mountain Hawks travel to Lewisburg to compete in the Art Gulden Invitational. That meet is scheduled to get underway at
