Mountain Hawks bounce back big at Army

West Point, NY – The Mountain Hawks picked up their 11th straight victory over the Army Black Knights Friday night, defeating Army 32-6. With the victory, Lehigh improves to 13-3 on the season and 2-0 in the EIWA. Army falls to 1-5 and 0-1.
The evening started at 174, with Brad Dillon dominating Connor Sanders for a 23-7 major decision. Army would answer back at 184 with Luke Calvert defeating Travis Frick 4-2. Then Lehigh would take over, winning the next six weights, with major decisions coming from Joe Sahl at heavyweigh 11-1, John Stout at 125 19-6, Cory Cooperman at 141 12-1, and Matt Anderson with a 10-2 win at 149. Matt Cassidy at 197 and Matt Ciasulli also had decision victories.
At 157, No. 8 Phillip Simpson defeated No. 9 Derek Zinck at 157 12-5 for Army’s only other weight class victory. Top-ranked Troy Letters finished off the match for the Mountain Hawks, pinning Doug Reynolds in just
