Casey LaRocca begins her first season as the graduate assistant coach for the Lehigh Volleyball program. LaRocca comes to Lehigh after finishing up a standout career at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton where she left as the school’s all-time leader in assists. While at FAU, LaRocca, who broke the single season record for assists as a freshman, was an All-Atlantic Sun Conference selection, a four-year starter, and she also served as captain. A member of the Atlantic Sun and Sunbelt Conference honor rolls, LaRocca was named to the Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team and was a member of the National Society of Collegiate Athletes.
LaRocca played her high school volleyball under current Lehigh head coach Jenny Maurer at St. Joseph’s Academy in St. Louis. With that pair leading the way, St. Joseph’s was ranked in the top-50 nationally, according to PrepVolleyball.com. In addition to her playing experience, LaRocca has also coached on the club level for St. Louis CYC, a nationally competitive club for which she formerly played, and Boomers Volleyball Club in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
A member of the Dean’s List while at FAU LaRocca earned her bachelor’s degree in International Business and Trade. She is currently pursuing her master’s from Lehigh in Environmental Policy Design.
