Four-year letterwinner and 2014 graduate Dana Raber will enter her second season as a graduate assistant coach in 2015.
"Dana will be a great addition to the program and we're so happy to have her back," said head coach Bob Bertucci. "She knows the Lehigh culture and her way around administratively at the university, which will help us tremendously. She was a great team player when she was here as an undergrad and she will be able to instill that upon the team, which is extremely important for our young squad."
Raber was a key contributor to the Lehigh volleyball squad all four years of her career and helped the Mountain Hawks to three-consecutive Patriot League Tournament appearances. The setter graduated as No. 10 on Lehigh's all-time career assists list and served as a team captain during her senior year. Raber finished her career with a total of 1,067 assists and 623 digs. A force off the court as well, she was named to the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll all four years of her career. Raber will be pursuing her master's degree in Globalization and Educational Change while working with the team.
"I'm very thankful for the opportunity to stay at Lehigh," said Raber. "It's different than where I've been for the past four years, but it's interesting to see the girls work so hard from an outside perspective. With my experiences as a member of the team, I know how tough it is to be a student-athlete and I think I'll be able to help the girls in those regards."
