Why Lehigh: “I chose Lehigh because I always wanted to play at the next level and get a good education at the same time. I loved the coaches and how small the town is.”
As a sophomore: Started 15 games in the outfield before suffering season-ending injury… batted impressive .366 (15-for-41) prior to injury… went 3-for-3 with RBI and two runs scored in win over Toledo (3/9).
As a first-year: Started 51 out of 52 games, seeing time in left field, right field and at designated player… ranked second on team with 52 hits… named Patriot League Rookie of the Week after going 5-for-8 with three RBIs in doubleheader sweep at Marist (4/13)… went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in series finale at Bucknell (4/7)… went 4-for-14 with two RBI in Patriot League Tournament.
In high school: First team All-District… led team in hitting as a senior… finished second at PGF 2016 and third at PGF 2018… played travel softball for Blaze United… set district record in 4x400 relay in track and field… four-time all-academic.
Personal: Daughter of Greg and Shannon Smith… sister Samantha.
