As a sophomore…versatile performer played at the four bottom singles flights, going 3-3 …played one doubles match as No. 2… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll… As a freshman… won eleven singles matches seeing action at three flights… did his best work at No. 3 singles where he posted 8-4 record… amassed 4-6 record in doubles competition… earned team’s Scholar-Athlete award… in secondary school… ranked fifth among Latvian junior players…currently ranked No. 23 among all Latvian players (rated as high as No. 21 previously)… enjoyed several national second and third place finishes in doubles…won Under-18 Latvian championship in 2006…
Personal: Sandra and Valdis Rauza, brother Niklavs (11), sister Elza Nikola (9) enjoys basketball, soccer, music and reading… lists Marat Safin as favorite tennis player.
