Why Lehigh: “The coaching staff, players, and all the students immediately welcomed my family and I into the Lehigh Community making it feel like home and making it feel like the perfect place to maximize my potential as a student athlete.”
On Coach Coen: “He is like a father figure to the entire team. He cares equally about every player and puts all of his efforts into making them into successful individuals as well as great football players.
On the student-athlete experience: “It means that I will surround by a tight-knit, proud community while playing great football and pursing a world-class education.”
As a senior (2014): Limited to three games due to injury… saw action mainly on special teams… did not record a tackle.
As a junior (2013): Started the Mountain Hawks’ first five games at inside linebacker… appeared in 10 of 11 games overall… recorded season high six tackles in season-opener vs. CCSU (9/7)… finished season with 17 tackles.
As a sophomore (2012): Did not see any varsity action… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
As a freshman (2011): Appeared in one game… named to Patriot League Academic Honor Roll.
In high school: Two-time first team All-Anne Arundel Country selection by Baltimore Sun and Washington Post… Team’s leading tackler in each of last two seasons… two-time All-Conference selection… member of Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star team… team captain… two-time honorable mention All-State selection… Maryland Distinguished Scholar… National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society… National Society of High School Scholars… Purvis Scholar and Neumann Scholar.
Personal: Son of Jake and Marsha… has two brothers: Jason and Josh.
