Why Lehigh?: “I couldn’t pass on the opportunity of playing Division I-AA football and getting a good degree, and Lehigh was able to provide me with a chance to do just that.”
How would you describe Coach Coen to a recruit?: “Coach Coen is a down to earth guy, who is easy to talk to, and will tell you the truth in any situation. He is also a good role model and leader for our football team, and has hired a staff of coaches that are also good men and leaders.
On the Lehigh football experience: “It is a great feeling knowing that I will be a part of a football team that has a lot of pass history and is also capable of creating history during my tenure at Lehigh.”
On being a Lehigh captain: “It is a true honor to be elected captain by my teammates. It is also a challenge that I look forward to attacking this summer and the upcoming fall. It should be as much fun, as it will be hard work trying to lead our team to another Patriot League Championship, but I am truly eager to begin leading our team to accomplish our goals for this year.”
Team captain … leader of the Mountain Hawks secondary … strong leadership skills … as a junior … played in all 11 games … Second-Team All-Patriot League selection … recorded team highs in both tackles (64) and interceptions (4) … six games of at least five tackles … double-digit tackles versus Albany and Villanova … picked off two passes versus Princeton … had five tackles and an interception against No. 21 Harvard … as a sophomore … appeared in ten games, making 16 tackles along the way … as a freshman … played in four varsity contests … contributed on special teams…registered a tackle in Lehigh’s win over league rival Bucknell … in secondary school … all-city and all-league safety … earned a Catholic Scholastic Award for achievements in the classroom.
Personal: Son of Juanita and Ernest Moore … brother, Philip (16) …worked for Lehigh’s office of Conference Services in summer of 2005 …earned a 3.3 GPA in spring 2005.
