Nate Przestrzelski joined the Lehigh football coaching staff in March 2017 as specialists coach and special teams coordinator. Like his predecessor, Ryan Dougherty, Przestrzelski was a punter at East Carolina University.
Przestrzelski most recently served as the special teams coordinator for Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. Prior to Chowan, Przestrzelski spent two seasons as a special teams and defensive administrative assistant at Utah State, where he worked with former Lehigh assistant Dave Ungerer. In his time at Utah State, the Aggies led the Mountain West in Net Kickoff Coverage in both 2013 and 2014. Przestrzelski also coached Nick Diaz to second team All-Mountain West honors as a placekicker.
“(Przestrzelski)’s ability will be working really close with all of our specialists, and I think he’s really somebody who can help the young guys that we have in the specialists group and obviously help continue to make Eddie Mish a very good specialist for us,” Coen said. “A big part of Nate’s job here will be to help develop the younger skill players that we have that we need to develop, and Nate will also have the title of special teams coordinator.”
Przestrzelski, who graduated from East Carolina in 2009 and obtained a master’s in sports administration from St. Thomas University. He was a member of two Conference USA Championship teams at ECU and the Pirates appeared in four bowl games when he was there.
