Jay Ridinger enters his third season as assistant defensive backs coach on the Lehigh coaching staff. The 2015 season saw Ridinger work with All-Patriot League cornerback Olivier Rigaud and a safety group that included Quentin Jones, Lehigh’s leading interceptor, and Sam McCloskey who emerged as a starter and saw time in all 11 games as a freshman.

Prior to his arrival in the spring of 2014, Ridinger spent two seasons on the Franklin & Marshall coaching staff. A former standout wide receiver for the Diplomats, Ridinger worked with F&M's wide receivers in 2012 before shifting over to the secondary in 2013. He worked alongside Lehigh defensive backs coach Craig Sutyak with a secondary group that included first team All-Centennial Conference performers at both cornerback and safety.

A four-year starter at wide receiver for the Diplomats, Ridinger was a team captain and All-Conference performer as a senior. He was also named Offensive Most Valuable Player. He graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business, Organizations, and Society. Ridinger also played two seasons of varsity lacrosse for the Diplomats. Prior to beginning his college coaching career at F&M, Ridinger spent one season on the coaching staff at Manheim Township High School in Lancaster.
