BEFORE LEHIGH
Gracie Chavers joins Lehigh from Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach, Calif., where she is an outside hitter and defensive specialist. She has led Mira Costa to two Bay League Championships and won a gold medal as a member of the 2011 USA Volleyball Junior Nationals Open Division team. While competing on her high school team, Chavers also played for the Long Beach Mizuno Volleyball Club team from 2008-2011. She led Long Beach to a third place finish in the 2011 Mid-East qualifier and a first place finish in the 2010 Big South qualifier. Chavers has also racked up numerous medals for her play in beach volleyball, earning the bronze at the 2010 AAU National Championships. Her AAU team also won the gold medal at the 2007 regional championships. Chavers' accolades extended beyond the court and into the classroom when she was named the recipient of Mira Costa High School's Scholar-Athlete award this past year.
