Why Lehigh?: “Lehigh is very strong academically and is also not too big or too small, which were a few things I was looking for in a University. I was also looking for a geographic change from my home town so that I could experience a new part of the country as well as a real change in seasons! I also think very highly of Coach Troyan. The beautiful campus accompanied by the amazing vibe I got from the team and coaching staff seemed to create the whole ‘college experience’ that I was looking for.”

On the Lehigh softball experience: “The Lehigh softball experience is comprised of many things. Obviously softball is a major facet of the Lehigh softball experience, however, an equally large aspect of Lehigh Softball is the family that is created. It is amazing to be part of a team full of wonderful young ladies who care deeply, not only about the game of softball, but also about each of her teammates. I look forward to many great experiences and memories that I can cherish forever.”

As a freshman… made 52 starts as Lehigh’s leadoff hitter and centerfielder… earned first-team All-Patriot League honors… led Patriot League in stolen bases… tied for league lead in runs scored… went 6-for-12 with 2 RBI in NCAA Regional tournament… named Patriot League Rookie of the Week (3/30)… in high school… earned four varsity letters in softball… four year All-District selection…. played her travel softball for Texas Storm Gold, which also produced Mountain Hawks catcher Lauren Eichblatt… Personal: Daughter of John and Vickie Wood… Brother Clanton (16)… enjoys skiing, weightlifting, rock-climbing and traveling.
