Why Lehigh?:” I chose Lehigh because of all it had to offer. I’ve always wanted to play Division I softball while earning a business degree, attending a well known academic university. When I learned about Lehigh’s Business school being ranked 13th in the nation and the competitive softball program, I knew it was the school for me. The location was what sealed the deal.”
On the Lehigh softball experience: “I never knew how close a team could be until I got to Lehigh. Being part of the LUSB is one of the greatest things I have at Lehigh. We all truly care about each other and enjoy spending time together. The best part about our team is that we goof off and always have a good time, but we still get the work done. These girls are amazing and I couldn’t imagine any other team I’d want to spend the next 2 and half years with.”
As a junior… first team All-Patriot League selection… tossed just third perfect game in Patriot League history, in 1-0 shutout of St. Bonaventure (3/3)… won career-high 14 games… tossed six shutouts… struck out 11 in two-hit shutout of Army (4/4)… tossed five innings of one-hit ball to earn the shutout win versus Florida A&M in NCAA tournament… as a sophomore… posted 12-10 record in 25 appearances… finished second in the league with 145 strikeouts… tossed five inning one hitter versus Rider (4/16)… struck out a career-best 13 batters in win over UNC-Wilmington (2/23)… batted in three contests, going 2-for-7 with a run batted in… as a freshman… second team All-Patriot League selection… was perfect 7-0 in league games with 1.06 earned run average… tied for team lead with five shutouts… won 12 of her last 14 decisions… fanned a career-high 10 batters versus Army (4/1)… tossed a five-inning one-hitter versus Lafayette… (4/7)… in high school… two-time All-League selection… league Pitcher of the Year in 2005… named MVP in each of her final two seasons… Personal: Daughter of Craig and Pam Curtis.
