Why Lehigh?: "I chose to attend Lehigh because of the perfect balance between academics and athletics. I felt Lehigh would give me the knowledge and experience to be successful in the business world after graduation. After my first visit to Lehigh, I knew it was where I wanted to spend my college career.”
On Coach Coen and recruits: "Coach Coen exemplifies the type of football coach every player wants. His energy and love for the game is felt by every player around him. He cares for his players and treats them all with respect. He is always available to talk about anything from academics to athletics and social issues.”
On being a part of the Lehigh football experience: “The Lehigh football experience is something I will never forget. Every Saturday afternoon I take the field representing one of the best football schools in the country. The support from the fans and school is amazing and the Lehigh-Lafayette football games provide stories that I will tell my children someday. Being a member of the Lehigh Football family is a great honor.
As a sophomore… 2006 Patriot League Special Teams Player of the Year… led all Patriot League kickers in points with 69 … made 12-of-18 field goal attempts including 41 yarders against Yale and Colgate … connected on 33-of-34 extra point attempts … averaged 38 yards per punt … As a freshman … All-Patriot League second team punter … Lehigh’s primary punter for the final ten games of the season … averaged 37.4 yards per punt … added placekicking duties late in the season … was 5-of-6 in field goal attempts … 2006 finalist for the J. Daniel Nolan award, given to the Lehigh athletics department’s top freshman male athlete … connected on a career-long 43-yard FG in a win over Georgetown (Nov. 5) ... pitcher on Lehigh’s baseball team … in secondary school … member of National Honor Society.
Personal: Son of Eileen and Wayne Leo … has two siblings: sister Jennifer (19), and brother Shawn (17) … member of Lehigh baseball team (pitcher).
