Why Lehigh? “Lehigh seemed like the best fit for both my wrestling and academic careers. Lehigh’s wrestling team is one of the top in the nation and I knew in my heart that if I wanted to be a great college wrestler, Lehigh was the right choice. Also, as far as my life after college, Lehigh is one of the best engineering schools in the country and I know that with an engineering degree from such a prestigious school, I can get a job almost anywhere.”

On Coach Santoro: “He is a wrestling guru. He knows how to score from every position. He can work with you whether you are a lightweight like me, or a heavyweight like Zach Rey. Coach Santoro is also one of the nicest people I have ever met. The man goes out of his way to be nice. As long as you stay on top of your schoolwork and get your workouts in, Coach Santoro will help you as much as he can.”

In secondary school: Amassed a 171-25 career record with 102 falls… four-time Pennsylvania state champion for prep and independent schools… four-time place winner at the National Prep Championships, hosted by Lehigh… runner-up finish at 125 at National Preps as a senior… NHSCA All-American…two-time Beast of the East place winner…has twice placed in the top 12 at the Walsh Ironman… member of the PA Junior National Freestyle team… won 2011 Ronald K. Nelson Award as top point scorer at Pennsylvania Prep and Independent state tournament.
