Why Lehigh? “Lehigh presented a great educational opportunity and I was very interested in the softball program. The softball program has a great winning tradition and the coach is very enjoyable to be around. Being close to home is also nice.”

On the NCAA Tournament experience: “Going to NCAA’s is something that every athlete should get to experience at least once in their career. It was the coolest thing I have ever been part of. Flying there was quite the experience, since I hate flying and we took the longest route possible, the players will back me on that one, however once we were there the experience was amazing. It was awesome to go out and compete against some of the best teams in softball, as well as hit against arguably the best pitcher of the year (Peaches James) and learn that Lehigh is absolutely competitive with any one of those teams. I am looking forward to making another trip there this year. With a year of experience at NCAA’s under most of our belts now, if we get to go back this year we will most definitely leave our mark in the tournament.”

As a Junior … All-Patriot League second team selection … only Lehigh player to start all 59 games, all at second base … smacked 12 doubles and scored 27 runs … registered 15 multi-hit games … As a sophomore … All-Region and an All-Patriot League first team selection … led all returning players in RBIs (34), doubles (14), and home runs (3), batting .371 for the season … had a fielding percentage of .973 on the season … As a freshman … had 22 hits with two doubles, three triples, one homer and 12 RBIs … stole eight bases in nine attempts … In high school … team captain of field hockey, basketball, and softball teams as a senior … team MVP for softball in 2000 and 2001 … four-time All-Colonial League first team selection … two-time Morning Call All Area … received 12 varsity letters … won state championship in field hockey in 1998 … Colonial League Softball Champions in 1998, 2000, and 2001 … was on the honor roll every semester … Personal: Daughter of Richard and Renee … sister Kristina (16) plays field hockey for Southern Lehigh.
