Why Lehigh?: “Because of the love I was shown by the coaching staff.”
As a junior (2023): Appeared in seven games… returned six kickoffs for 108 yards… had 27-yard return against Bucknell (10/21).
As a sophomore (2022): Missed entire season due to injury.
As a first year (2021): Appeared in seven games, making two starts at receiver… finished with nine catches for 111 yards… also rushed five times for 36 yards… gained 56 all purpose yards against Yale (10/2)… best game was four catch, 69 yard effort at Penn (10/9)… 50 yard reception against Penn was Lehigh’s longest play of the season… suffered season-ending injury at Fordham (10/23).
In high school: First team all-conference as both a wide receiver and defensive back in 2019… also lettered in basketball where he was Newcomer of the Year in 2018 and first team all-league in 2019.
Personal: Son of Clifton Fields and Chanta Love… siblings Dy’ante Love, E’miah Fields and Da’Niyah Love… father played football at Western Illinois… high school head coach is former Lehigh linebacker and team captain Bryant Appling ’01.
