GETTING TO KNOW EVAN
Nickname: Ev, Evy, Evanrude, Evander, Ehal
Why did you choose Lehigh?: Lehigh offered many opportunities to help me excel both in and out of the classroom. The academic drive that Lehigh student-athletes demonstrate was really admirable to me as an inquiring student. After touring the campus and seeing the old architecture in conjunction to the beautiful views of the campus, I was hooked.
What’s your favorite thing about Lehigh?: I really enjoy the diverse nature of the student body. Despite coming from all walks of life, the students all rally around the school and take great pride in being a Mountain Hawk.
Thoughts on Lehigh Coaching Staff: Despite being so far from home, Coach Matt and the other coaching staff put so much effort into helping me adapt to a new way of life on a different side of the country. The coaches invest just as much into who you are as a person as they do into developing you as an athlete.
Major & Why: Biology (Pre-Med): My Dad’s career as a physician was the initial spark in my dream to become a doctor. I feared that I was choosing that path solely because that is what he chose, but after shadowing physicians and taking courses related to medicine I realized that this is my true passion. Being a doctor offers so many opportunities to meet new people, research novel concepts, and truly make a difference for so many people.
