WHY LEHIGH? “When I visited Lehigh, it felt like home and I had an immediate connection. The education students receive here is phenomenal, and I also get the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love to play. The coaching staff and the team have been very welcoming. Lehigh is also close to home, so I get to see my family very often!”
AS A JUNIOR (2017): Led the Mountain Hawks in goals (7) and points (15) … Also had an assist … Led Lehigh in shots (44) and shots on goal (24) … Tied for the team lead with two game-winning goals … Posted a team-high five points (two goals, one assist) in home victory over Georgetown (10/15), having a hand in all three Lehigh goals. Was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week for efforts … Georgetown game marked Carotenuto’s third straight game with a goal, also scoring a goal at Lock Haven (10/14) and against Lafayette (10/6) … Scored the game-winning overtime goal against the Leopards to give the Mountain Hawks a 1-0 win, their first victory over Lafayette since 2005 … Scored a pair of goals in Lehigh’s road victory at Siena (9/17) … Also scored two days prior at Holy Cross (9/15) … Had a pair of shots on goal in three of the first four games of the season – vs. LIU Brooklyn (8/25), against La Salle (9/1) and at Sacred Heart (9/3).
AS A SOPHOMORE (2016): Finished second on the Mountain Hawks with 14 points behind six goals and two assists … Recorded 31 shots, 20 on goal … Played in all 17 games, with 16 starts … Scored a goal in three straight games (all wins), against Siena (10/2), Colgate (10/8) and Towson (10/9) … Fired a career-high seven shots (five on goal) vs. Siena … Also dished an assist vs. Colgate for a season-high three points … Scored a goal at Georgetown (9/25) … Had a goal in Patriot League opener vs. Bucknell (9/17) … Dished first-career assist at La Salle (9/11) … Scored what proved to be the game-winning goal in the season-opener at Rider (8/26).
AS A FRESHMAN (2015): Stellar freshman season, leading the Mountain Hawks (and finishing seventh in the Patriot League) with 22 points … Scored 11 goals, also most on the team and tied for third in the league … Played in all 18 games, with 10 starts … Led Lehigh with three game-winning goals … Was 2-for-2 on penalty strokes … Tallied 28 shots, 22 on goal … Named a unanimous first team All-Patriot League honoree … Team’s Athlete of the Year, as announced at annual end-of-year banquet … Named Patriot League Rookie of the Week twice and Offensive Player of the Week once as well … Had four multi-goal games on the season … Scored on both shots taken at Holy Cross (10/31) … Recorded a pair of goals at Sacred Heart (10/13) … Just over one week earlier, scored all four Mountain Hawk goals in dominant 4-0 shutout of Siena (10/4). The four goals were just one shy of tying the league’s all-time record for most goals in a game, were the most by a Patriot League player since 2010 and were among the national leaders in 2015. BEFORE LEHIGH: A local product, was a two-year letterwinner at Emmaus High School, where she played as a freshman and sophomore … Played junior and senior years with WC Eagles club team … Was the 2012 LVC and District XI leading scorer, won two consecutive LVC and District XI titles and earned 2012 first team honorable mention Lehigh Valley Conference … Was a Futures Elite Participant from 2009-15 … A 2012 Junior Olympics selection and a National Hockey Festival Champion with the WC Eagles … Two-time winner of the National Indoor Tournament with the WC Eagles … Won the 2014 National Club Championship … Also a varsity letterwinner in track … On the honor roll all four years of high school … Member of the Spanish Honor Society, Select Choir and was a Student Ambassador.
