Alvey And Benoit Named To Academic All-Patriot League Team

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League announced its men's basketball Academic All-League Team on Wednesday morning. Sophomores Hank Alvey and Edouard Benoit were named to the team recognizing their academic and athletic achievements.
Alvey currently holds a 3.65 cumulative GPA while majoring in architecture. He is a 2025 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipient and a two-time member of the Dean's List.
Alvey improved greatly upon a solid first-year season, averaging 14.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, a league-best 1.8 blocks, and 1.2 steals per game. The Mapleton, Illinois native has reached double-figures 19 times, scored 20+ points 11 times, and has posted three double-doubles. Alvey received Patriot League Player of the Week honorable mention twice this season.
Benoit posts a 3.71 cumulative GPA as an economics major. Like Alvey, Benoit is a 2025 Patriot League Academic Honor Roll recipient and a two-time member of the Dean's List.
Benoit is currently averaging 10.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in 20 appearances for the Mountain Hawks. The Quebec native had a stretch of three-consecutive games scoring 20+ points in January, including a career-high 27 at Colgate on January 10. Benoit earned Patriot League Player of the Week honorable mention on January 12.
No. 2 Lehigh will host a Patriot League Championship quarterfinal game against No. 10 Holy Cross on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased HERE.
