Three Mountain Hawks Earn Top Eight Seeds As NC Women's Wrestling Brackets Announced

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh women's wrestling's five qualifiers learned their spots in the brackets Friday as seeds and brackets for the inaugural NC Women's Wrestling Championships, next weekend in Coralville, Iowa were unveiled. Three of Lehigh's five qualifiers earned top eight seeds in their respective 18-wrestler brackets.
Audrey Jimenez grabbed the No. 1 seed at 110 and will open her tournament against Ahsia Torres of Sacred Heart. Jimenez was one of four Super Region 2 champions for Lehigh and enters the postseason at 17-0.
Abbi Cooper is the No. 6 seed at 117 as she enters the tournament with a 23-1 record. Cooper ranks second in the NCAA in technical falls with 18 and will open her tournament against Grand Valley State's Kiely Tabaldo.
Undefeated first-year Aubre Krazer is the No. 2 seed at 131. Krazer is 20-0 on the season and will face Isis Severe of Allen University in the round of 16.
Regional champion Kryssceah Ravenelle is unseeded at 138 and drew No. 3 seed Haylie Jaffe of McKendree in the first round.
Genevieve An did not earn a seed at 180 and drew top seed Kylie Welker of Iowa in round one. An is the only one of Lehigh's five qualifiers to have faced their round one opponent during the season.
The NC Women's Wrestling Championships are set for March 6-7 at Xtream Arena in Coralville, Iowa. Session I begins March 6 at 10 a.m. CT with Session II to follow at 4 p.m. CT. March 7 action begins at 10 a.m. CT with the championship finals set for 7 p.m. CT. Streaming coverage of the entire tournament will be available on ESPN+.
