Mountain Hawks Sweep Doubles Point In 5-2 Win Over Saint Francis

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – #70 Lehigh men's tennis welcomed the Saint Francis Red Flash to the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday morning. The Mountain Hawks defeated the Red Flash 5-2 to claim their fourth victory of the season.
Lehigh (4-1) swept the opening doubles point over Saint Francis (2-6), starting off with 6-3 win at number one from Sean Jaeger and Alex Van Lumich. Wyeth Anzilotti and Rafael Gracie defeated their opponents 6-4 at number three before Aleksandar Daskalovic and Henry Stoller won a 7-6 tiebreak to sweep the doubles point.
Van Lumich got started in singles play for Lehigh with a two-set win over Saint Francis' Gregory Troyan. Jaeger then defeated Kevin Titus Suresh 6-1, 6-2 at number one to give the Mountain Hawks a 3-0 lead in the match. However, wins at numbers three and four from the Red Flash kept their hopes of a comeback alive.
After dropping the first set 6-4, Benedict Horn-Bourque completed a three-set comeback at number six that clinched the dual meet victory for the Mountain Hawks. Jackson Morash followed suit with a three-set win at number five to earn a fifth point for Lehigh.
The Mountain Hawks will play their third match in three days on Sunday, February 22 at 3 p.m. on the road against Princeton.
