Lehigh Comes Up Short Against Presbyterian in Final Home Dual

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – In its final home dual of the season, Lehigh women's wrestling fell to Presbyterian 26-19 Friday night inside Leeman-Turner Arena at Grace Hall. A back-and-forth match saw Presbyterian take control with consecutive wins at 145 and 160.
Lehigh (14-2) won four bouts against the nation's first Division I women's program. A fall from Genevieve An at 180 brought the Mountain Hawks within 21-19 but without a wrestler at 207, Lehigh had to forfeit the final weight class to the Blue Hose.
Presbyterian (18-3) picked up a win by technical superiority at 103 before the Mountain Hawks claimed back-to-back wins at 110 and 117 to take a 9-4 lead. Audrey Jimenez won 10-0 in 1:34 over Chloe Dearwester behind two takedowns and three turns and then Abbi Cooper followed with a first period pin over Charlee Shuler.
A 4-2 win by Alyssa Mahan over Alexa Ciliotta at 124 and a 10-0 technical fall by Kassey Daugherty over Shannon Govern put Presbyterian up 11-10 at intermission.
Kryssceah Ravenelle put Lehigh back in front 14-12 with a 13-2 technical fall over Elizabeth Donovan at 138. Ravenelle racked up a step out and then five takedowns before finishing the match with a turn at 5:29.
Presbyterian took the lead for good with Maddie Kubicki's 10-0 win over Sydney Thompson at 145 and then a pin from May Cuyler over Cameron Millsapps in the first period.
An pinned Isabella Gretzinger at 4:25 for Lehigh's fourth win of the dual but the forfeit at 207 secured the dual for Presbyterian.
In an exhibition bout at the end, Lehigh's Makynna Loepp won 4-1 over Lilly Luttrell at 145.
Lehigh recognized its senior class prior to the match. Wrestlers Hajra Khatana, Victoria Swider and Annika Futch were recognized, along with parent Curt Futch, who has played an instrumental role in the development of Lehigh women's wrestling, starting with his support in the hiring process of Head Coach Brazel Marquez, while providing mentorship and resource stability for the program.
The Mountain Hawks are back in action Sunday at Sacred Heart. Match time is set for noon from Fairfield, Conn., with streaming coverage on Pioneers+ on the Sacred Heart website.
The 2025-26 Lehigh wrestling season is presented by the Historic Hotel Bethlehem.
