
Lehigh Has Top Two Finishers, Rolls to Team Title at Alex Lagowitz Memorial

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Lehigh men's golf team put forth a dominant performance to win Colgate's Alex Lagowitz Memorial, which wrapped up Sunday at Seven Oaks Golf Club. Led by the top two individual finishers, sophomore Noah Zyung and first-year Ryan Cronin, the Mountain Hawks finished the 54-hole tournament at eight under par 856 (285-288-283) to claim the team title by seven strokes over runner-up Seton Hall.

Zyung was the individual medalist at nine under par 207 (68-73-66), with Cronin the runner-up at 213 (70-70-73).

The team title was the first for Lehigh since winning Lafayette's ABARTA Collegiate Invitational in the spring of 2024. The Mountain Hawks won Colgate's tournament once previously, back in 2005.

Zyung is the first Mountain Hawk to win a tournament since David Hurly '24 won the 2023 Lehigh Invitational. His final round featured five birdies and an eagle on the par 5 12th hole. Zyung made 14 birdies and an eagle over his 54 holes.

After beginning with back-to-back rounds of 70, Cronin shot 73 in the final round to finish second. In the final round Cronin carded two birdies, 13 pars and three bogeys.

Senior Will Caronchi tied for 16th place at 219 (73-72-74). Caronchi made a pair of birdies in his final round to become the third Mountain Hawk in the top 20.

Playing in his first college tournament, first-year Drew Golden tied for 27th place at 222 (74-76-72). Golden shot even par in round three with three birdies.

Junior Matthew Quinn shot 225 (77-76-72) and tied for 42nd place. Quinn made five birdies in his final round 72.

Senior Aiden LeBlanc tied for 71st place at 232 (78-73-81).

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at Temple Invitational, Sept. 20-21 at the 1912 Club in Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
