Two Mountain Hawks in Top Five at Alex Lagowitz Memorial as Play Suspended

HAMILTON, N.Y. – An opening round three under par 285 had the Lehigh men's golf team in second place out of 14 teams at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial Saturday at the Seven Oaks Golf Club. With two individuals in the top five, the Mountain Hawks are in the hunt. Play was suspended due to darkness before the completion of round two. Round two will be completed Sunday beginning at 8 a.m. and will be followed by the final round.
 
Lehigh trailed Saint Joseph's by two strokes after round one and when play was halted, the Mountain Hawks found themselves three strokes behind Seton Hall.
 
First-year Ryan Cronin shot two under par 70 in round one and is two under through 15 holes in round two as he leads the 92-player field. Cronin made four birdies in round one and has three so far in round two. He leads Colgate's Jamison Bryant and Michael Henry Jr. of Saint Joseph's by one stroke.
 
Sophomore Noah Zyung carded a four-under par 68 in round one, carding seven birdies along the way. Zyung is two over par through 15 in round two and is tied for fourth place. He made one birdie in round two.
 
Senior Will Caronchi shot 73 in round one and is one over par in round two. With five birdies over two rounds, Caronchi is tied for 17th place.
 
Senior Aiden LeBlanc's first round of the fall was a six over par 78, but LeBlanc battled back in the afternoon and is one under par through 14 holes. He is tied for 43rd place with four birdies so far in round two.
 
First-year Drew Golden is also part of the tie for 43rd place at five over par. Golden shot 74 in round one and is three over in round two. He totaled five birdies in Saturday's action.
 
Junior Matthew Quinn is eight over par through 34 holes with a first-round 77 and he is three over in round two.
