BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh track and field teams landed three student-athletes on the Academic All-Patriot League teams for the outdoor season, announced Tuesday. Junior Laura Reigle represents the Lehigh women on the Academic All-League team, while seniors Jonathan Bennett and Patrez Thomas represent the Mountain Hawks on the men's squad.

All three Lehigh athletes are now multi-time Academic All-Patriot League selections. Reigle has now been honored four consecutive seasons dating back to the 2024 indoor campaign. Bennett picks up his second straight Academic All-League honor, while Thomas is recognized for the third time after being honored following the 2024 indoor and outdoor championships.

To be eligible for the Scholar-Athlete of the Year award and the Academic All-Patriot League Team, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be a starter or key player in his/her sport. Freshmen or students in their first academic year at their school are not eligible for the honor.

A design major with a 3.85 cumulative GPA, Reigle finished fourth in the pole vault at last weekend's Patriot League Championships. She owns Patriot League titles in the pole vault in 2023 indoor and outdoor and the 2024 outdoor season and posted a podium finish at the indoor championships. Reigle is also a two-time NCAA East Regional qualifier.

Bennett earned a bronze medal in the 110m hurdles, turning in a time of 14.16 seconds that ranks second in program history. He finished seventh in the 60m hurdles at the indoor championship meet in March. Bennett won the 110m hurdles at the Carol and John Covert Classic and the Lafayette Dual during the outdoor season. Academically, Bennett holds a 3.80 GPA as an English major.

Thomas' Patriot League Championships was highlighted by a third-place finish in the 400m hurdles where he ran 52.23, posting the No. 3 time in program history. He was also a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams and owned a victory in the 400m hurdles at the Monmouth Season Opener. Off the track, Thomas owns a 3.74 GPA majoring in accounting.

Boston University won both the Men's and Women's Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards for outdoor track and field.
