
Mountain Hawks Complete Play At Irish Creek Collegiate

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – The Lehigh men's golf team shot 12 over par 292 on the final day of the Irish Creek Collegiate Tuesday at The Club at Irish Creek. Junior Jake Roth and first-year Noah Zyung shot two over par 72 to lead the Mountain Hawks, who finished in eighth place out of 15 teams at 586 (294-292).

Roth ended as Lehigh's top finisher, tying for 10th place at two over par 142 (70-72). He made a pair of birdies and added 13 pars in his final round.

After matching Roth with a 70 in Monday's opening round, junior Aiden LeBlanc shot 74 on Tuesday and tied for 16th place at 144. LeBlanc's final round featured 14 pars.

Zyung's 72 Tuesday moved him into a tie for 45th place at 149 (77-72). His final round included an eagle and a birdie.

Junior Will Caronchi tied for 58th place at 11 over par 151 (77-74). Caronchi made a pair of birdies in his final round.

Senior Aidan Oehrle made three birdies in a final round 75 and tied for 64th place at 152 (77-75).

Senior Jahan Bains shot 159 (80-79) and finished in 89th place.

A final round 271 lifted Marquette to the team title at 555 (284-271). The Golden Eagles defeated second place Old Dominion by 13 strokes.

Marquette's Vinny Cervantes defeated Layne Lambert of Charleston Southern on the second playoff hole to earn individual medalist honors. Both players finished at four under par 136.

The Mountain Hawks will return to action at Columbia's Roar-EE Invitational, April 19 in Kingston, N.Y.
