BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Spring practice begins next week for the Lehigh football team. The defending Patriot League champion Mountain Hawks announced their 2025 schedule Friday. Lehigh will play a 12-game regular season slate in 2025, featuring six games at Goodman Stadium.
Â
Ticket information, including timelines for the 2025 season will be announced next month.
Â
Lehigh will open the season with two consecutive home games. The Mountain Hawks will open 2025 against Patriot League newcomer Richmond on Aug. 30 at Goodman Stadium. Lehigh defeated Richmond 20-16 in the opening round of the 2024 FCS Playoffs in Virginia. The game will mark the first time Lehigh will open its season with a league game (not counting the three-game spring 2021 season) since 2003.
Â
The Richmond game will be followed by a visit from Sacred Heart on Sept. 6, the Pioneers' first-ever visit to Goodman Stadium.
Â
The road slate begins with Lehigh's first-ever game against Duquesne in football, Sept. 13 in Pittsburgh and will be followed by a Patriot League matchup at Bucknell on Sept. 20.
Â
Lehigh will return to Goodman Stadium on Sept. 27 to host the Penn Quakers in a game that will be part of Lehigh's Family Weekend celebration. The contest will also be the first of three consecutive games against Ivy League opponents.
Â
The Mountain Hawks will open October at home against Yale on Oct. 4 and then will visit Columbia on Oct. 11 before heading into their bye week.
Lehigh will return to New York following their bye for a Patriot League matchup at Fordham on Oct. 25.
Â
November begins with Lehigh's final two home games. The Mountain Hawks will host Georgetown on Nov. 1 and then will welcome Holy Cross Nov. 8 in a matchup.
Â
Lehigh will visit Colgate Nov. 15 and will then close out the regular season with the 161st meeting of college football's most-played rivalry when the Mountain Hawks visit Lafayette Nov. 22. The Mountain Hawks clinched their league-leading 13th Patriot League title with a 38-14 victory at Goodman Stadium last November. This year's game will be the first of two straight rivalry games played in Easton after Lehigh hosted in both 2023 and 2024.
Â
Complete promotional information for Lehigh's six home games will be announced at a later date.
Â
Lehigh's spring practice segment begins Mar. 18 and will run through Apr. 12 with the Brown and White Showcase at Goodman Stadium.
