Mountain Hawks Fall To Drexel At Home

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh men's tennis returned to action from the Lewis Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday morning for a meeting with the Drexel Dragons. The Mountain Hawks fell by a score of 7-0.
Drexel (5-2) secured the first win in doubles with a 6-3 victory at number two for Hussein El Tawil and William Burridge. Lehigh (4-3) responded with a 6-4 win from Marc Blekhman and Sean Jaeger at number one. However, Drexel's Antonio Franquis Leon and Josue Guzman defeated Jose Murariu and Luke Donovan 6-4 at number three to clinch the doubles point.
In singles play, El Tawil earned the first point for Drexel after defeating Jaeger in two sets at number three. De Sousa followed suit with a two-set win at number one, setting the score at 3-0 in favor of the Dragons. Morash then fell 6-2, 6-3 at number four to Roman Lafond to clinch the dual meet win for Drexel. Blekhman and Anzilotti would go on to drop hard-fought three-set matches at numbers two and six respectively while Benedict Horn-Bourque was defeated in two sets at number five.
The Mountain Hawks will play again on Sunday, March 2 at home against LIU at 3 p.m.
