BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With softball season now a month away, head coach Fran Troyan has announced Lehigh's 2025 schedule. Coming off a 32-win season that included a school record 17-game winning streak and another appearance in the championship round of the Patriot League Tournament, the Mountain Hawks are slated to play 52 games, including 12 home games at Leadership Park and 12 contests against teams that participated in last year's NCAA Tournament.

The 2025 slate begins with five road trips to warmer locales in February and early March. Lehigh will open its season on the west coast with five games in the Los Angeles area Feb. 7-9. Opening day has the Mountain Hawks at Loyola Marymount for games against Nevada and the host Lions on Friday, Feb. 7. The following day Lehigh will face California Baptist and WCWS participant UCLA in the Mark Campbell Collegiate Invitational in Irvine, Calif. Opening weekend wraps up Feb. 9 with a game against UC Riverside as part of UCLA's Stacy Winsberg Memorial Tournament.

Lehigh is currently scheduled to be off the weekend of Feb. 14-16 with the Mountain Hawks heading to North Carolina for their second weekend of action at Charlotte Invitational, Feb. 21-23. The Mountain Hawks will play two games against Ball State and host Charlotte and one against UAlbany, with the 49ers and Great Danes coming off NCAA Regional appearances in 2024.

Closing out February and heading into March, Lehigh will play in Liberty's Softball Invitational, Feb. 28-Mar. 2 in Lynchburg, Va. Lehigh will open action with two games against Appalachian State on Feb. 28. The Mountain Hawks will face Georgetown and host Liberty on Mar. 1 before closing out tournament action against Drexel on Sunday, Mar. 2. Liberty was a NCAA Regional finalist last season.

Spring Break begins in Fort Myers, Florida with games against Columbia and Toledo in the FGCU Spring Break Classic, Mar. 8-9. On Monday, Mar. 10, Lehigh will take on the FGCU Eagles in a doubleheader.

Upon returning from Florida, Lehigh will wrap-up Spring Break with five games at the UMBC Round Robin, Mar. 14-16, with the Mountain Hawks playing three games against Manhattan plus one against both Canisius and host UMBC.

"Our program is beyond worrying about wins and losses earlier in the year," Troyan said. "The 2025 team is on a quest to chase excellence. Competing against outstanding teams early in the year gets all of us out of our comfort zone and into our growing zone. We play against 2024 NCAA Tournament teams multiple times at multiple tournaments. We want to be challenged, so this spring is going to be exceptionally fun!"

Coming out of Spring Break, Lehigh will open its 12-game home schedule with a game against Penn on Wednesday, Mar. 19. Patriot League play begins at home with three games against Army West Point Mar. 22-23.

The opening homestand will be followed by four consecutive road games, with the Rivalry series at Lafayette Mar. 29-30 and then a midweek clash at defending Ivy League champion Princeton Apr. 2.

A home Patriot League series against Bucknell (Apr. 5-6) will be followed by a trip to Big Ten member Rutgers on Apr. 8 and then three Patriot League games at Colgate Apr. 12-13.

Lehigh will host Monmouth in midweek action on Apr. 16 before another four-game road swing that sends the Mountain Hawks to Holy Cross (Apr. 19-20) and Saint Joseph's (Apr. 23).

The Mountain Hawks will close out the Patriot League regular season with three games against defending champion Boston University at Leadership Park Apr. 26-27.

Lehigh will host Villanova Apr. 30 in the regular season home finale and with its Patriot League by week scheduled for the first weekend in May, the Mountain Hawks will end the regular season with a non-league doubleheader at Mount St. Mary's on May 3.

The Patriot League Tournament will be held May 8-10 on the home field of the highest seed.

Lehigh went 32-20 in 2024 including a 14-4 Patriot League mark. The Mountain Hawks return three of their six All-Patriot League performers from a season ago in senior Rory Dudley and sophomores Holly Lovett and Peyton Sward.
