Mountain Hawks Complete Three-Meet Saturday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's track and field team competed at three different meets Saturday. The Mountain Hawks sent throwers to Navy's Wesley Brown Invitational while the rest of the squad was split between Penn's Quaker Invitational in Philadelphia and the Moravian Indoor Meet at Rauch Fieldhouse.

Wesley A. Brown Invitational
Senior Liam Lovering led the way for the throwers, winning the shot put with a throw of 15.70m and taking second in the weight throw (16.26m). Junior Joseph Nowakowski took second to Lovering in the shot put, with a 14.96m effort. Senior Ethan McHugh threw the weight 13.98m to finish seventh.

Quaker Invitational
Lehigh had five entrants in the men's mile, led by first-year Ian Zalewski running 4:15.11 to finish in eighth place.

First-year Jaden Ferguson made his Lehigh debut in the long jump, finishing sixth with a leap of 6.83m. Senior Skyler Mott was 10th with a PR of 6.24m while senior Jordan Layos jumped 5.76m to finish 14th. The same three Mountain Hawks competed in the triple jump, led by Mott, who finished sixth with an effort of 13.50m.

Sophomore Nathan Oliphant made the finals of the 60m hurdles, with a preliminary time of 8.37 seconds. He finished sixth with a finals time of 8.59. Senior Jonathan Bennett finished 11th at 8.43 seconds.

Also in the sprints, sophomore Eddie Moore made the finals in the 60m dash with a 6.96 prelim time. Moore finished fifth in the finals, running 6.94. Moore also led a quartet of Lehigh runners in the 200m, finishing 12th with a time of 22.57.

Senior Patrez Thomas finished seventh in the 400m with a season-best time of 49.93.

In the 800m, senior Ethan Hood led Lehigh, finishing 14th at 1:58.31. Sophomore Aidan LaTourette (1:58.98) and first-year Peter Priestner (1:59.31) turned in personal best times.

First-year Isaac Greene (2:36.39) led Lehigh in the 1000m, while senior Kevin Harvey finished eighth with a time of 8:30.68 to lead five runners in the 3000m. Sophomore Dylan Cunningham turned in a PR of 8:55.04.

Moravian Indoor Meet
Senior Gideon Coprivnicar took second in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.76 and sophomore Gabriel Mays-Sanchez was the runner-up in the 400m with a time of 53.20.

First-year Jacob Chernin claimed sixth place in both the long jump (6.20m) and the triple jump (11.97m)

In his Lehigh debut, first-year Sam Akbarov took second in the pole vault, clearing 4.40m, while junior Tyson Utesch matched his PR of 4.25m.

Sophomore David Sedrak took sixth in the 60m, running 7.22, while junior Henry Burd took eighth in the mile, with a time of 4:36.17.
