Leopards Edge Lehigh 2-0 On Wednesday Night

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - On a misty Wednesday night at the Ulrich Sports Complex, the Lafayette Leopards edged Lehigh 2-0 in The Rivalry presented by Lehigh Valley Orthopedic Institute.

The Leopards struck in the 25th minute, as Alexa Jindal finished on the right side of the net to give Lafayette a 1-0 lead.

In the 51st minute, Lafayette increased its lead to 2-0 as Katrina Santelli finished a shot off an assist from Jindal.

The Mountain Hawks forced two saves in the final minutes, off shots from sophomore Macy McCallum and junior Sophia Lis.

Lehigh outshot the Leopards 15-8 and outcornered Lafayette 8-4.

Junior goalkeeper Maggie Ousoujoglou made two saves while Lafayette's Catherine Apker recorded six.

The Mountain Hawks (1-4-5, 0-2 PL) are back in action at 1 p.m. on Saturday at Boston University.
