Mountain Hawks Open Fall Campaign At Alex Lagowitz Memorial

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men's golf team is headed to Hamilton, N.Y. to open its fall season with the two-day, 54-hole Alex Lagowitz Memorial, hosted by Colgate beginning Saturday at Seven Oaks Golf Club.

The Mountain Hawks are one of 15 teams set to tackle the 7,125-yard, par-72 course in the first of five fall tournaments for the Brown and White.

Golfers will play 36 holes on Saturday with the final 18 set for Sunday. Play on both days will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard.

Lehigh is coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2024 Patriot League Championship on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club. The Mountain Hawks won a pair of team titles during the 2023-24 campaign.

Head coach Henry D'Alberto's squad features seven returners and two first-years. Jahan Bains is the lone senior on a squad that features juniors Will Caronchi, Aiden LeBlanc, Paulius Malcius and Jake Roth, and sophomores Matthew Quinn and Charles Schrohe. The two newcomers are first-years Luke Block from Bluffton, S.C., and Noah Zyung from Glenview, Ill.

Lehigh's lineup for the Alex Lagowitz Memorial will feature Roth, Bains, Malcius  Caronchi, Zyung and Block.

Participating teams include Binghamton, Bucknell, Canisius, Colgate, Cornell, Iona, Lehigh, Le Moyne, Navy, Niagara, Penn, Seton Hall, St. Bonaventure, Villanova and Yale.

Last year, Lehigh finished fifth out of 12 teams at the Alex Lagowitz Memorial. Bains, LeBlanc and Roth all played for the Mountain Hawks last year, with LeBlanc posting a top-20 finish.

The rest of Lehigh's fall schedule includes The Doc Gimmler, hosted by St. John's, Sept. 16-17; the Temple Invitational Sept. 21-22; Miami Ohio's Redhawk Intercollegiate, Oct. 14-15 and the Lehigh Invitational, which the Mountain Hawks will host Oct. 19-20.
