Lehigh Athletics Partnership Enjoys Record-Shattering Fundraising Year

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh Athletics Partnership has announced it raised a record $3,652,005 during the 2024 fiscal year, a 28 percent increase from the previous year.

The $3,652,005 number encompasses gifts received (paid throughout July 1, 2023 – June 30, 2024). This forward facing fundraising model makes these gifts available in our varsity teams' operating budgets on July 1, 2024, fiscal year 2025. Â

Other fundraising highlights from the 2024 fiscal year include:
32% Year Over Year Increase in Women's Sports
15% Year Over Year Increase in Men's Sports
18% Year Over Year Increase in Total Restricted Dollars
13 Varsity Sports Achieved All-Time Highs for Dollars Raised

The 2024 total eclipsed the previous record mark of $2,956,209 raised during the 2017 fiscal year.

"This record-shattering year was only possible because of the tremendous showing of support from our generous alumni, families, staff, and friends. I'd also like to share my deep appreciation to our Athletics Partnership staff - Harrison Lawrence, Kristen Brannick, Nate Hughes and Lisa Landis - plus Steph Palmieri and Mary Kate Lynch who have since moved on in their careers - for their tireless work to garner support for our sport programs and scholar-athletes. Their commitment and dedication is inspiring."

The Lehigh Athletics Partnership focuses on annual fundraising for the Department of Athletics. The annual fundraising efforts focus on Sport-Specific and The Dean's Fund for Athletics Excellence. Sport-specific gifts directly support the operating budgets of our 25 NCAA Division I varsity teams. Funding for The Dean's Fund for Athletics Excellence provides incremental resources for the student-athlete development programs including Sports Medicine, Sports Performance, Academic Enrichment, and The Flight 45 Leadership Program. The goal in 2024 was to reach a record high of $3 million, which was met and shattered.Â
