
Four Mountain Hawks Land On CSC Academic All-District At-Large Teams

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Four Lehigh student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At-Large Teams announced Tuesday. Men's lacrosse standout Scott Cole represents the Mountain Hawks on the men's at-large squad, while on the women's side Gabby Schneider (lacrosse), Lotte Smorenburg (field hockey) and Madison Pineda (golf) were recognized.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District or Academic All-America honors, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and have significant athletic credentials. First-year student-athletes are not eligible for Academic All-District or Academic All-America distinction.
Among sports sponsored by Lehigh, the At-Large portion of the Academic All-District teams covers field hockey, men's and women's golf, men's and women's lacrosse, rowing and wrestling.
Cole captained Lehigh to a Patriot League championship in his final season in the Brown and White and was a USILA honorable mention All-American. The 2023 Patriot League Offensive Player of the Year and Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Cole graduated with a 3.92 GPA in finance.
Schneider posted a 3.88 GPA in her behavior analysis graduate program, after graduating in 2023 with a 3.62 in psychology. Now a two-time Academic All-District honoree, Schneider is a four-time first team All-Patriot League performer and Lehigh women's lacrosse's career assist leader.
Smorenburg graduated last month with a 3.76 GPA in supply chain management. An Academic All-Patriot League honoree following the 2023 season, Smorenburg also earned second team All-Patriot League honors last year while leading the Mountain Hawks with five goals.
Pineda concluded her junior campaign with a 3.64 GPA majoring in bioengineering. She is a two-time Academic All-Patriot League honoree. The Patriot League Rookie of the Year for women's golf in 2022, Pineda is a three-time All-Patriot League performer on the golf course.
