Three Mountain Hawks In Top 12 After 36 Holes At Patriot League Championship

LEWISBURG, Pa. – Sophomore Yuki Zhu led the way with a round of 74 as Lehigh completed round two of the Patriot League Championship Saturday at Bucknell Golf Club. The Mountain Hawks shot 310 as a team in Saturday's second round and currently sit in third place with a two-day total of 610 (300-310).

Navy continues to lead the tournament at 593 with Boston University in second place, three strokes off the lead. Lehigh is five strokes ahead of fourth place Richmond and nine ahead of fifth place Bucknell.

Zhu's second round 74 included 12 pars, five bogeys and one birdie, which came on the ninth hole. She moved up into fourth place at eight over par 148 (74-74). Zhu is three strokes behind the leader Sue Lee of Navy. Two other players are one stroke behind Lee.

Junior Madison Pineda and first-year Stefania Fedun are tied for 12th place at 154. Pineda carded one birdie in a 76 Saturday, while Fedun shot 78 while also making one birdie.

Lehigh's low player in Friday's first round, first-year Olivia Lu, shot 82 Saturday and is tied for 16th place at 155 (73-82). Lu did finish strong with a birdie on the 18th hole.

Senior Venecia Zaia is tied for 25th place at 161 (77-84), while first-year Bella Scanapicco sits in 36th place at 176 (83-93).

The Patriot League Championship concludes Sunday with the final 18 holes at Bucknell Golf Club. Lehigh will once again play with Boston University and Navy with their tee times beginning at 9:30 a.m.
