Mountain Hawks Set Sights On Home Tournament After Completing RedHawk Intercollegiate

PITTSBURGH – The Lehigh men's golf team concluded action at the RedHawk Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Tuesday's final day of play featured the conclusion of round two, followed by the final round. The Mountain Hawks completed round two with a 299 and shot another 299 in the final round to finish the 54-hole tournament at 893 (295-299-299).
 
Junior Jake Roth was Lehigh's top finisher, tying for 42nd place at seven over par 220 (76-74-70). Roth's final round 70 was the low round of the tournament for the Mountain Hawks. He made a pair of birdies in both round two and round three and finished with a relatively clean round that featured 15 pars, one bogey and two birdies.
 
Sophomore Charles Schrohe led Lehigh in round two with a 73 and tied for 58th place at 223 (75-73-75). Schrohe made three birdies in round two and added two more in round three.
 
Three strokes behind Schrohe was junior Aiden LeBlanc, who shot 226 (73-75-78) and tied for 67th place. LeBlanc carded two birdies in each of his final two rounds.
 
First-year Noah Zyung tied for 72nd place at 227 (74-77-76), while sophomore Matthew Quinn shot 231 (73-77-81) and tied for 80th place. Zyung led Lehigh with four final-round birdies. Quinn totaled four over his final two rounds.
 
Marquette captured the team title with a final score of 836 (278-278-280), with the Golden Eagles one stroke better than Georgia Southern.
 
Patrick Adler of Marquette and Brycen Jones of Georgia Southern tied for medalist honors at 10 under par 203.
 
The Mountain Hawks will be back on the course this weekend when they host the annual Lehigh Invitational, Saturday and Sunday on the Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.
