Mountain Hawks Welcome Saint Francis Friday; Host Temple Sunday

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh field hockey team looks to continue its four-game winning streak this weekend as the Mountain Hawks host Saint Francis at 6 p.m. Friday and Temple at noon on Sunday.
 
Patriot League Defensive Player of the Week, senior Lotte Smorenburg scored two goals in Lehigh's 5-2 win over Sacred Heart on Saturday. Smorenburg currently leads the Mountain Hawks with four goals and two assists. Sophomores Zoe Day and Maddie Kandra each tally three goals. 
 
Lehigh trails 5-3 in the series with Saint Francis, most recently dropping a 5-2 decision to the Red Flash in 2014. Saint Francis is 4-2 this season, only dropping contests to Miami (OH) and Indiana. Consu De castro and Dolores Zavaleta lead the team with three goals apiece.
 
The Mountain Hawks trail 15-6-3 in the series with Temple, coming off a 6-0 loss in Philadelphia last season. The Owls are 4-2 this season, led by Tess Muller's two goals and two assists.
